Daily Fantasy Sports MLB Picks and Previews – May 19

DFS911.com has your daily fantasy sports MLB picks and previews for May 19 and beyond.

Bryce Harper has been on fire of late, hitting in all but one of his last ten games.  He has two or more hits in all but two of those games.  And guess what?  He is 5-for-13 against Nathan Eovaldi.

As ESPN.com notes, the fact remains that Eovaldi is plainly quite hittable. The six hits he gave up Tuesday match his low for the season, and he has already given up five home runs through seven starts.

Philadelphia’s Cole Hamels could be a good pick today for daily fantasy sports players.

He has allowed 16 hits on 74 at bats.  Colorado’s Wilin Rosario is the only batter with more than 3 at bats on the Rockies current roster who has hit over .300 vs. Hamels.

Elsewhere, Jose Bautista has gone 9-for-20 with 6 RBIs against the Angels CJ Wilson.

Toronto’s Josh Donaldson is .231 against Wilson but has gone 6-for-26 at bats with 4 extra bases, 2 homers and 4 RBIs.

Arizona’s Chris Owings is an impressive 9-for-14 against Dan Haren.

Friday May 15

Series: Royals vs. Yankees

KC Royals starter Chris Young has allowed just three runs in 22 innings so far this year.  In this two starts of 6 and 5 innings, respectively, Young permitted just 3 hits and zero runs.  Not too shabby.

Better still, he’s only allowed 16 hits on 92 at bats against the current Yankees roster.  He’s been priced around $2800 but will probably be a tad higher for this one.  Great secondary pitcher for your daily fantasy roster.

DFS911.com has your Giants vs. Reds series daily fantasy MLB picks for May 13.

Series: Giants vs. Reds

Tim Lincecum may be just what the doctor ordered with Joey Votto's mini-slump having gone 5-for-14 with a homer against him, though his $3700 price does leave a bad taste in our mouths.

Overall, Lincecum has not fared well vs. San Francisco, allowing 32 hits off of 101 bats to the current Reds lineup.

Michael Brantley Daily Fantasy Value – Nine Runs in His Last Ten Games

Michael Brantley doesn’t come cheap for his Wednesday showdown versus the St. Louis Cardinals.

Priced at $4300, daily fantasy sports players will be hard-pressed not to stick Brantley in their respective lineups.

Not only has this Indians outfielder hit well against Lackey (4-for-11 with 2 extra base hits and 2 RBIs), he's been superb in recent performances as well.  Brantley has 9 runs and 15 hits over his last ten games.

Jacoby Ellsbury - DFS911.com is making it mandatory that you must include Yankees Ellsbury on your roster this evening.

Why you ask.

Ellsbury is sporting over a .300 ERA and comes into this game having gone 10-for-15 against Tampa Bay's Chris Archer.  That's sick.

The Yankees centerfielder will come into Tuesday’s game following a day of rest of Monday.

Each of Ellsbury's 142 plate appearances have been out of the leadoff spot, so his .341 average, .415 on-base percentage and .812 OPS are entirely leadoff numbers, the Bleacher Report points out.

Caleb Joseph collected his third homer and third double in the loss to the Yankees last Thursday.

It was announced over the weekend that Joseph had made the MLB All-Star ballot.

ESPN wrote of Toronto Blue Jays 2nd baseman Devon Travis this week:

Travis is a sell-high candidate only if your trade counterpart regards him a true superstar in the making, the kind destined to be a top-10 player at his position going forward.

Let’s look at his daily fantasy forecast for the week.

Monday May 11

Travis is the only hitter with a solid record against Jimenez who is currently playing well.  Michael Saunders has performed well against Jimenez but has played poorly of late.
