As a few state legislators and attorney generals mull over the legality of Daily Fantasy Sports, New Jersey Governor and Republican Presidential candidate sent out a fund raising email asking his supporters to submit their DFS lineup changes prior to the start of the Giants/Redskins game four weeks ago.

It was also around that time the Daily Fantasy Sports juggernaut DraftKings found itself mired in scandal, accused of allowing an employee access to critical player percentage data he may have utilized to win $350,000 at a competing site.  DraftKings denies any wrongdoing.

Christie’s email read:

Have you set your lineup this week?

This is a friendly reminder to double check and submit your lineup changes before the start of the Giants/Redskins game…

A double reminder that you need to pick your 2016 lineup!  As you saw in the debate, Team Christie is on offense and we need your help to keep the ball moving down the field.

For the record, Christie’s state is one that would like to regulate Daily Fantasy Sports.

The New Jersey Governor’s poll numbers continue to lag.

A question was asked about Daily Fantasy Sports during Wednesday night’s Republican debate whereby Christie shot down the moderators for “wasting everybody’s time” with that topic.  Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush actually admitted to playing fantasy sports.
