DFS911.com has some good Daily Fantasy MLB picks and previews for Friday evening’s MLB games.
Cardinals:
Carlos Martinez– He is due for a bad outing after back-to-back starts with seven shutout innings and eight strikeouts. Martinez hasn’t surrendered a run in 21 consecutive innings, spanning more than three starts. But beware, he allowed seven runs in two consecutive games back in early May.
This means, if you are Andre Ethier, you should have a decent night. Ethier has hit in seven of his last ten games and is 3-for-8 against Martinez with a double.
Even with Martinez’ solid pitching of late, prior to his last two starts, seven of eight totaled 7 or higher.
Mets:
Jonothan Niese – Niese continues to struggle. The last four games he started in, New York gave up 6 or more runs and he’ll be facing off against an Arizona team that has played especially well at home. His ERA has jumped from 1.95 to 4.42.
A.J. Pollock and Aaron Hill have hit well against Niese.
Diamondbacks:
Chase Anderson – He’s allowed 10 hits each in his last two starts. He only allowed three total runs in his previous four starts. Three runs or more have been scored in eight of the ten Games Anderson has started in.
Red Sox:
Dustin Pedroia has hit nearly half his at bats against Scott Kazmir.
Yankees:
Alex Rodriguez has blasted 5 homers off of 26 at bats against Jered Weaver.
Blue Jays:
Jose Bautista is 7-for-17 off or Houston’s Roberto Hernandez.
