Owned by some 25% of Fantasy Sports aficionados, the Green Bay Packers Jordy Nelson has sustained an injury in preseason play against the Pittsburgh Steelers that the Packers organization confirmed late Monday will result in Nelson being out the entire season.
Season long Fantasy owners cringed late Sunday afternoon as results of an MRI were forthcoming and now the grim news has been confirmed.
Nelson’s fantasy numbers in 2014 were superior as he was targeted 277 times while catching 183 passes for 2,833 yards and finding the end-zone 21 times.
Nelson closed the season priced at around $7500 and nearly 25% owned at Daily Fantasy Sports site Star Fantasy Leagues.
